Story Behind the Song
I went to visit my daughter, Rebecca. She shared with me her new CD by Enya. It was very beautiful. On the way home, I wondered if I might be able to come up with a song similar in style. The song started taking shape. I thought about my Mom and how sometimes I still feel so close to her even after her death.

WHEN THE WIND BLOWS YOUR NAME

Chorus:
When the wind blows your name,
I want it all to be the same.
When the wind blows your name.
You were here when I first came.
Now I want you home again.
And not just come see me when,
When the wind blows your name.
When the wind blows your name,
I ponder where it is you went,
How you come for the moment,
When the wind blows your name.
Chorus
When the wind blows your name,
I hear your laughter and your cries.
I hear your whispers and your sighs.
When the wind blows your name.
When the wind blows your name,
I feel your arms encircle me.
You're as close as you can be.
When the wind blows your name.
Chorus
When the wind blows your name,
You come home to this place.
I feel your hand on my face.
When the wind blows your name.
Sometimes I want the wind to go.
Then I beg it to return.
Because for you I still yearn,
And the wind blows your name.
Chorus
When the wind blows your name,
I hear you say you will stay.
You had no choice, you've gone away.
Till the wind blows your name.
Like the wind you can't control.
You had to go, you couldn't stay,
And your spirit flew away.
And the wind blows you name.
Chorus
