    Story Behind the Song
Doesn't fit in much with Jeff's new stuff, but remains a fan favorite. The line "Well she's only 17 but she's just like me," has been changed to " Well it isn't hard to see that she's just like me."

    Lyrics

From the very first time that I saw her face
She had porcelain skin like a priceless vase
She’s so beautiful – And easy to break
She made me stop on a dime when she walked right in
Because she looked so fine and you know I’d been
Expecting her – For quite some time

It’s not about the clothes she wears
Or the ribbons that she keeps tied up in her hair
No, no – It’s not that simple
Well I’ve seen chicks and I’ve seen dolls
But none of them in her case can ever compare at all
    All – To Wild Eyes

Well I’ve never felt so alone
And then she shows up and it’s just as if I’d
Known her – All my life
Well I’ve heard tales about love at first sight
But I never thought love could feel so right
But now – after that night – I’ve changed my mind

It’s not about the way she walks
Or the things that she tells me when she talks
No, no – It’s not that simple
I had no clue but I found out
I thought I’d never meet a girl that I had no doubt was so
Worthwhile – Until Wild Eyes (Like a child’s eyes – Angel eyes)

Well it isn’t hard to see that she’s just like me
She’s got her head on her shoulders but her mind between her feet
So which way do you go?
Well I have to give up and admit that it’s true
That now that I’ve met her all I wanna do
Is be with her – And treat her right

It’s not about impressin’ my friends
Or tellin’ myself I can love again
No, no – It’s not that simple
I think about her – day and night
And I don’t know why till I remember those wide
    Wide – Wild Eyes
