	Story Behind the Song I wrote the song after being out with at the time a female friend who I liked a lot, we we're talking about relationships in general and she said she just needed someone who would hold her close, which is where part of the chorus came from. It's really about me trying to convince her that Together everything would be great, although when we did get together it wasn't. The words took an evening to write the music a little longer, not too sure I kind of left it then kept going back to it. I demo songs again and again until I'm happy and I couldn't get a lead lick for the intro I was happy with. Then I just experimented with volume swells which sounded cool and really added to the mood of the song. This process probably took about a month due to having to work. At the studio The drums and bass were put down in a couple hours. The main guitar parts were done in an afternoon. Then the main vocal part took a day. The keyboard part took about an hour. Backing vocals took about an hour. Then once that was all done I put some lead on the end which took about 10 minutes. Lyrics I would cross the nine planets and steal the sun, Just to prove to you I could be the one, Take my hand and trust in me, Take these dreams and find a better place to be.
