Story Behind the Song
Hold On was a song I wrote about my constant need for a change in scenery, and the strains on relationships that comes with it. What I was trying to say was ("im sorry baby, but when I get back its gonna be great"), you know that kind of thing. Once I got the general idea of what I wanted to say the song seemed to write itself. It was written very fast with no re-writing. I began playing it live that night and it was getting a very strong response from the southern rockers. We recorded it in one take after "gettin right" while all in the same room without any seperation. Just singin and playing live in the studio. During playback i decided to not recut my vocals or perfect any instrumentation. Sometimes its just the best way. So listen to all the pops, hisses, and crackles, and enjoy. ONE TAKE,ONE MOMENT. Book It Danno
