	Story Behind the Song I wrote "Merry Christmas Mom & Dad" one year, when I couldn't make it home for Christmas, due to work and distance. I wanted to give my parents somthing from my heart, that only I could give. Since then, this song has been very special to our family and many others. Lyrics It will soon be Christmas, a special time of year Hear the children singing, laughter and good cheer but, how can I say to you, wish I could be there Merry Christmas to you Mom and Dad I can still remember Christmas time at home letters sent to Santa, and toys for everyone now I’m so far away and I want to say Merry Christmas to you Mom and Dad Time keeps passing by and we’re growing older Never can we be a child again And I’ll take this time to say, Thank You! for the love you gave all along It will soon be Christmas, that special time of year and for you I’m singing, and I’ll shed a tear Yes, I’ll be home again but until that day Merry Christmas to you, Merry Christmas to you Mom and Dad
