Producer Lewis Melville asked musicians to try to write one-minute long songs... ones that still conveyed a complete thought or feeling in that short time. The bombing of Canadian troops and the meaningless deaths of 4 soldiers as a result of "friendly fire" from the U.S. had just happened.
