	Story Behind the Song The cast of characters on his "Victory Land" CD include people like drummer Abe Laboriel Jr. (currently on tour with Sting), guitarist Tim Pierce (top LA studio musician) and bassist Mel Brown (currently on tour with Marc Anthony). Taylor is truly multi-talented. As a producer/engineer, his records sounds world-class. As an artist, he's called "one of my favorite artists" by multiple Grammy winner Russell Ferrante, for one. As a keyboardist, he's a KURZWEIL Keyboards artist endorsee and one of the top studio musicians in Denver, Colorado. As a vocalist, he's a trainee of world-reknown voice coach Dr. L. Scott Martin (Peter Gabriel, Kenny Loggins, Ann Wilson) As a songwriter, he's written and co-written many contest winners, for himself and other artists, often in conjunction with artists he's produced records for. As a businessperson, Taylor is the owner/president of InnerCircle Productions, Inc., which has become the most upscale production company in Colorado, commanding the highest payscale and the highest respect in the national arena by record labels and artists alike. As a guitarist, Taylor's wild open tunings on low-strung acoustics and baritone electrics are reminiscent of Michael Hedges, Joni Mitchell and Jonatha Brooke. Taylor also plays an array of folk instruments such as Irish low whistles, penny whistles and accordion. As a philanthropist, Taylor has sat on the national board of directors for StandUpForKids, (a non-profit that rescues homeless and street kids), and has contributed music to dozens of benefit CD's and concerts. As an international citizen, Taylor has performed at the Conference on World Affairs, and has done records and concerts with musicians from El Salvador, Canada, Spain, South Africa, and of course America. As a regular guy, Taylor is recently married to Rebecca Ann Mesple, who is an artist as well, with a debut CD in progress that Taylor is producing. Lyrics "TIMELINE" - The instrumental song, written by "Taylor Mesple", which features Nelson Rangell on soprano saxophone and is from CD - "Timeline" by the "Wind Machine" Wind Machine was formed in 1985 by guitarists Steve Mesplé and Joe Scott. What began as an acoustic guitar-oriented duo has, over the years, blossomed into a group of five innovative and expressive musicians. Their instantly recognizable sound is due largely to the fact that Joe plays, not the guitar, the guitjo. The guitjo is a hybrid 7 or 14 string guitar on which the bass strings are restrung with additional treble strings. "There are elements of everything in our music," says Joe, "especially in our live performances. While we mostly perform the jazz/new age instrumentals that we've become known for, we also throw in a little blues, bluegrass, and even some classical. I think it's more interesting for the audience that way." Part of Wind Machine's diversity comes from the immensely different background each member claims. Steve played mainly blues and rock 'n roll until he met Joe, who was raised almost exclusively on folk/bluegrass. Keyboardist Taylor Mesplé (and yes, Steve's son) grew up "turning off Dad's Jeff Beck and putting on jazz". Michael Olson, the group's bass player, came from a more rock/alternative background. Drummer Larry Thompson, a top studio drummer in the band's home state of Colorado, has performed on over two hundred recordings of every conceivable style of music.
