	Nearer Still Nearer by Leila Morris was written in 1898 is one of the most beautiful and spiritual songs ever written. The smooth and peaceful melody and soft harmonies lend themselves to a spiritual state-of-mind. For a little variety, and tonal color, I have used an almost celtic-styled harmonic-theme, especially throughout the first verse, however the real high-light on the piano is the middle section where a singing piano melody is interwoven with a harp-like piano harmony.
