Sounds like a fusion of Incubus and Razorback. :)

    Story Behind the Song
This was the first song ever written by Splitcide as a band. :) Lyrics were written by Jan Dizon, their guitarist. Guitar riffs also by Jan Dizon. This song is all about changing destiny... and that's exactly what this song is doing for Splitcide. :) This was their song entry for Coca Cola's mp3 band search, of which they are a finalist. :)

    Lyrics
    Change The Stars
    By Jan Dizon

I don’t know what it is
That you say you are to me
All the pain that you bring
    Is a faint memory

My father told me to change my stars
But I didn’t heed a word he said
And now I’m drowning in shameful mud
I just wanted to fix my head

    (do you see me
    still crying
    my shelter
    is what I’m here for)

Maybe I’m falling right off another cliff
And now I’ve got to break loose and change my stars

Feeling lost over timeNow I don’t know what to do
Got too tired of the stains
All I wanted was a piece of you

My father told me to change my stars
But I didn’t heed a word he said
And now I’m drowning in shameful mud
I just wanted to fix my head

    (do you see me
    still crying
    my shelter
    is what I’m here for)

Maybe I’m falling right off another cliff
And now I’ve got to break loose and change my stars
