    Story Behind the Song
This is another tune in my top three of all time songs I have written. It was almost completely written in about an hour. The lyrics poured out while I was playing guitar. It all really started with the second verse. I was thinking about how I hate the soppy love songs, and this came out. Remedy.

I think there are only about four or five chords in the whole song and it has hardly changed since the first version. Maybe some of the lyrics have changed. It is still as big and bouncy as it used to be. Since getting my VS100, I am sure that the sound has changed (as the Carlsboro I used lots around then was not so nice in sound) and my Ibanez is a hell of a lot different than my now defaced Encore. Even the solo stands the same, but it maybe flows a bit better. This version is true to the original, but is a bit more raw-punk in sound.

This was recorded in Glenelg, South Australia between March and July 2002 in preparation for 'The Holdfast Spongecat'. The song was written while in the Wirral, North-West England.

    Lyrics
I sit and write a love song I'll sit until it's done and then I'll dedicate it to you even though my rhyming's shit come on and join the party it could be lots of fun when there's nothing for us to do and there's just me and you want you to be here with me cos then I'll know that I've won but then you reach out for my hand now what am I to do I dream about you daily thinking am I wasting my time but on the stepladder of success there's no more height to climb
