A fun, high energy Rock 'n' Roll tune with an oldies rock flavor but "definitly not old". It takes you from learning to play to looking back over a long career in Rock.

    Story Behind the Song
This song was originally titled "Magic in our Music". It was written in the early 1970's by Dean and myself, when we were just 12 & 13 respectively. The song was a finalist in the American Song Festival.
Recently we decided to revamp and upgrade it to help it work for a new show in progress by World Productions called "Shout" the Musical. That's when we brought in Barry to help us finish it off.
    Enjoy.

    Lyrics
I'm a Rockin' Rebel so everybody dance and sing.
I'm a Rockin' Rebel, the number one rock 'n' roll king
I'm a Rockin' Rebel, want everybody feeling alright
I'm gonna play my rocking music gonna rock you thru the night

You know I've come a long long way
since I first began to play
Then I started this rock 'n' roll band
Now I'm trying to break in, this music that I've held within
It's like turning a boy into a man

I'm a Rockin' Rebel so everybody dance and sing.
I'm a Rockin' Rebel, a certified rock 'n' roll king
I'm a Rockin' Rebel, want everybody feeling alright
I'm gonna play my rocking music gonna rock you thru the night

I use to think how good it would be
If I could make the people see
That my music could make them smile.
    Now that I've accomplished this
    I can begin to reminisce
I've turned a couple of inches into a mile

    I'm a Rockin' Rebel
    I'm a Rockin' Rebel
    I'm a Rockin' Rebel
    I'm a Rockin' Rebel
