NEW! Genre's can be deceiving... While the backbone of this track definitely qualifies as "dance", the mood of the music and opening/ending sequences reflect sorrow and loss. But don't let me scare you off -- "Forgotten" is our first techno song to include vocals, and has some awesome music. Check it out!

    Story Behind the Song
The lyrics for this song came directly from my life experience. Losing "the one I'd come to call the most dear" hasn't been easy. I needed a good piece of music as an outlet for all of the emotion... And here it is.

    Lyrics
    [Verse 1]
    I tried so hard
to live up to your standards
    a broken shard
is all I've got to reflect on

    I wonder how
I came to be so blind that
    I couldn't see
the setting sun behind the dawn

    the empty words
and pretense of your sad tears
    a mask to hide
the painful truth buried so deep

    I've lost the one
I've come to hold the most dear
    "torn up inside"
but I'm the only one who weeps

    [Verse 2]
    so helplessly
I've watched the sky grow darker
    a coming storm
    lightning strikes on the horizon

    the rain pours down
    ripples through my reflection
    the mournful sound
of anquished cries lost in the dark

    the broken glass
    covers the floor around me
    I kneel alone
and pray the ghosts will go away

    the waters rise
    a flood of vibrant memories
    for all I gained
it seems there's so much more to pay

    [Closing]
    the clouds above me
    slowly fade to nothing
    the sun breaks through
    only to light the destruction

    push comes to shove
    you liked attention, and yet
    too much to do
and so I must be forgotten
