Story Behind the Song
These are some of my favorite lyrics. It's about being in Jamaica, hangin' out with the Rasta's & being mistaken for a dread by the crazy baldhead. Like a corrupt government it can be danerous to stand up and speak the truth. This song was written at practice. Billy wrote the riff and we finished it that night. We wanted to combine the punk, reggae, and ska into one song. The chorus "Ha Ha You Missed Me", just came to me, the rest was easy to fill in. It took a few tries to get it right in the studio, but it was finished in a few hours. It's my way of positive thinking.
Lyrics
Life is so dangerous luv, I want to see the sun again, 'cuz I was walking home last night, I was out late havin' fun. Heard the bullet scream by, I think it just missed my head, Is someone out there tryin' to kill me, thought I was the natty dread.
Ha Ha you missed me
Violence fill up this city, third world keeps me on my toes, I got a drop, or two or three, of this local blood ya know. Heard the bullet scream by, I think it just missed my head, is someone out there tryin' to kill me, thought I was the natty dread
