Originally a Power Pop tune, it was turned into a straight ballad, complete with drum machine. A very sweet tune with inuendo great harmonies. It worked great live and I have especially fond memories of an outdoor concert in India in front of 15,000 people-rocking to this song! |

Story Behind the Song
This was originally a mid-tempo rocking power pop song-NOT a ballad. It was reworked for the Bliss project and came out very nicely! It was written in a hotel room in Bankok Thailand.
The progression for the chorus came to me through a happy mistake. I had a tape of me singing "Knocking on Heavens Door", that when i popped it in my 8 track recorder played at a super fast speed...which made it unrecognizable, but it sounded so cool, i had to figure it out and make it my own. it wasn't till later that i could play it in a regular player and hear what song it was!
Lyrics
Staring into your eyes I find
something my words cannot define
an angel, that's what i think you are
right now, heaven doesn't seem that far
i don't want your promises
there's only one thing i ask from you
Chorus:
Tonight tonight, is all i want from you
Tonight tonight
Tonight tonight, you're all i want to do
Tonight tonight
Falling out of my head
can you feel me trembling beside your bed
at this moment you are my everything
you are my life, you are the words i sing
i don't want to think about tomorrow
there's only one thing i'll ask from
Chorus
I'm not lucky in love, I'm not lucky in
love,
but I can wish on the stars above for...
tonight
Chorus
