Story Behind the Song
Sometimes we see someone across the room that just captivates us. A girl who we can't keep our eyes off of. And then we meet her and after just a few minutes we've already decided that SHE is the ONE. The song was recorded in 6 hours at Moon Song Studios in Riverside by Bob Moon on a monday night, two days before my 18th birthday, and 5 days before our third show. Another track of female vocals where laid by my friend Marsha, but were later cut.
Lyrics
See you sitting there. All alone. Well we can't have that, no we can't have that. What's your name, how about this weather? So you want to be friends? (girl: well, let me think) So you want to be friends? (girl: well let me think) So you want to be friends? (girl: well let me think) So you want to be friends? (girl: sounds good to me...sounds good to me) See you sitting there. You're not alone. That's great let's get a shake. Things change. People do too. Now you're looking at me, and I'm looking at you. So you want to be friends? (girl: well, let me think) So you want to be friends? (girl: well let me think) So you want to be friends? (girl: well let me think) So you want to be friends? (girl: sounds good to me...sounds good to me)And there's butterflies in my stomach, there's wings in her eyes, just waiting to be released, just waiting to fly. She has the hope to set me free, and maybe this is forever. Maybe this is forever, maybe this is forever, maybe this is forever.
