Story Behind the Song
It's been said to me many times that I can't feel the blues, because I write and sing country songs! I decided to have some fun with that, and wrote a song about a cowboy discovering for himself what it must mean to have the blues!

Talk About Blue
Lyrics by Doug Adkins / Music by Doug Adkins & Gerd Vogel
Well I've tasted money, had none at all
I've been on top of the world
Lord knows I've made my falls
But I can tell that, this is surely something new
Guess this is what they're talking about
When they talk about blue
I'm up in the morning, you know the sun don't shine
Round about 1 o'clock, hell I'm already hittin' the wine
My girl, she done left me, and my hound dog too
Guess this is what they're talking about
When they talk about blue
Ya I lost my house and they took my truck
And I'm almost out of beer
I don't think it could get any worse
If the devil himself were here
Ya I broke the law, spat at my ma, I'm really in the stew
Guess this is what they're talking about
When they talk about blue
Well, I'm up in the morning, you know the sun don't shine
Round about 1 o'clock, hell I'm already hittin' the wine
My girl, she done left me, and my hound dog too
Guess this is what they're talking about
When they talk about blue
Yes this is what they're talking about,
When they talk about blue
This is what they're talking about
When they talk about blue
