    Story Behind the Song
This song was written a few years ago after a very difficult breakup. I was thinking about how I was going to have to start again after all that time invested. Shortly thereafter, my grandmother passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. Because of that, the lyrics of the song began to take on new meaning. In a nutshell, this song sums up the story of life. As time goes by we all realize that life changes, and that some things must pass and we'll never see them again. You have to stand up again, dust yourself off, and find a reason to carry on each day.

    Lyrics
    There's a warm spot,
in the corner of the room,
the last place you stood before you left
And if I try to, when the rain is falling down,
I can pretend to hear your laugh

I'm gonna try, to start again
And if I fall back down,
I'll stand up and count to ten

Is it funny, or tell me does it make you sad,
to think of what it took to get you here
    I'm so confused, often self-misunderstood,
but never will regret a single tear

There are mornings when I wonder who I am
I have to wonder, if you do too
I'm still rewinding to the songs I used to write,
to hear the answers from myself, once again
I'm going to see you again
