Features Amora's powerful vocals and her ability to concoct the most visceral and to-the-point lyrics on the spur of the moment. She is supported by Jeff's blend of orchestral-R&B-Alternative psychedelia which pushes Amora's message to a crescendo. Believe it or not, this song was done in 4 hours in Jeff's studio apartment. Each musical part including the vocals was performed without preparation. The song is spontaneous and poignant. |

Story Behind the Song
"Blind God" was a spontaneous, experimental collaboration between Jeff and Amora. She came over, Jeff showed her a sketchy bass line, and Amora began singing to it. Jeff hit 'Record', and later an amazing creative process was born. Amora had fallen asleep with the monitor headphones on while Jeff was layering additional instrumental parts. He noticed that when he hit upon good melodies and sounds, Amora reacted involuntarily. Her eyes would move behind her closed eyelids, her shoulders would twitch, or she would briefly stop breathing. Using her reactions as a gauge, Jeff continued to adjust the sounds. When Amora awoke, she layered additional vocal melodies like a mad chef adding a few more spices. Within 4 hours, and no more than 2 takes for each part, the soup was complete. This song captures the beauty of instinctive improvisation and raw feelings.
