Story Behind the Song
From 1988 until around 1995, Intonarumori was very focused on producing dense, ambient, sound and noise collage by creating several layers of recorded and live sound and then "performing" various mixes of each piece. The different performances were then edited together to create the final work. There were often so many layers that it was impossible to know what would be on any given channel at any time, giving the piece a chance aspect a la John Cage.
