	Story Behind the Song I wrote a series of 5 pop songs in one week a couple of years ago - this is one of them that has never been demoed or seen light of day until now... It's about trying to be positive even when you're really down, and about being unhappy, but really wanting it to change. Lyrics I'd like to write a happy song but I can't seem to get the words out right without sounding kind of weak or feeling kind of fake. Guess I'll have to get a little practice, find a way to shake myself loose - I think it's all in what you choose for yourself...yeah. I'd like to write a happy song... First in mind the immediate questions but you're gonna have to get in line - the answers aren't always in time or immediately apparent to close inspection, but you know you have to make it. When you do you just try not to lose yourself...yeah. You can't return to the former times. You can't retract the words you never said. You can't break the bonds that you never made... Does this all somehow surprise you now? In some ways I guess I think it should. I wish I could say that I haven't been there but I'll never forget that I have. Guess I'll have to find a little patience, find a way to shake myself loose - I think it's all in what you choose for yourself...yeah. I'd like to write a happy song...
