Vocal ballad in the style of a standard, served up early sixties style. I always loved Matt Monro's voice. This is the way I would have done one of those sixties James Bond themes. One of these days I'm going to write a whole album in this style. I may not be a Sinatra or Billy Holiday, but I enjoy listening to the standards. They're like a time machine, a massage, a fine wine, and Cuban cigar all rolled into one. Shaken...not stirred.

    Story Behind the Song
I wrote the lyrics about the darker side of relationships. This song is about being involved in something that isn't healthy, and despite senses and intellect, not being able to walk away from it. Yielding of power and submission to the point of the denial of the ego. With the dark psychological overtones, I wanted to weave something romantic...but slightly sinister. In a word, co-dependency.

I always loved Matt Monro's voice. This is the way I would have done one of those sixties James Bond themes.

    Shaken...not stirred.

    Lyrics
What Have You Done To Me?

Words and music by Kel Brown

    1. You reach into my eyes.
    I cannot turn away.
    I'm drawn to the altar
Like a hunter to his prey.
    I surrender all control,
    Finally giving in.
    Take me in your arms.
Feel your breath against my skin.

    CHORUS:

There nothing that I feel and nothing that I see -
    There's nothing they can say
Can take your love from me.
Nothing that I feel and nothing that I see.
What have you done to me?

    2. You reach into my eyes
And tell me that you know
    All the hidden secrets
    Locked deep within my soul.
You tell me I should trust.
You tell me not to fear.
    Where's the queue to fade?
    Will you disappear?

    REPEAT CHORUS:

    BRIDGE:

    Oh, I need your love
    To keep me satisfied.
    Oh, my love,
    I need you to survive.

    REPEAT CHORUS:
