Hosted by Mark Sheehy With: Kevin So, Micki Croisant, Don Conosenti, and myself. this is a really cool showcase, and the last time i went i was really impressed by the performers. i think everyone does a few songs apiece and then we rotate, so it's a good variety. unfortunately, the guy who books the room was telling me that if some more people don't show up for these thursday night showcases, they might not continue...so come out and support local songwriters! ***october 4, saturday "W" Hotel Chicago 7-12 PM Council of American Muslim Professionals annual dinner ***october 6, monday at the store Eclecticity, a very cool place with vintage collectibles and goods from around the world, candles, handicrafts, etc. hard to describe but really interesting. i'll basically be playing at the back of the store for anyone passing by or shopping, and there's also seating set up...it's a friendly vibe, laid back and fun, so if you're in the neighborhood... 3162 N clark 7-9 PM (2 sets)... about this song: this was basically written around the title 'last train' and ended up being about wanting to meet the one you love in the Afterlife. i like the tambourines on this one, and the backing 'oh-oh-oh's too...just acoustics and a little bass otherwise.
