Story Behind the Song
It's hard to talk about things, sometimes an image can explain things better. This is also every painter motivation. And this is what I wanted to say. Sometimes things work better if they are not explained away with an abundance of words. The message can gets easily lost amidst all the words. So try to understand the message, not the words.
The song was not that hard to write, but the intro was not coming along. Yet another song from 1998's catalogue. Pat sings and plays all guitars and keyboard, Rob on bass. Several takes, not an easy song.
Lyrics
Verse:
Tell me what you want to tell me,
show me what you want to show.
A picture is worth a thousand words,
and you can paint it if you try.
Chorus:
We are in this together,
I need you more than ever ?
I can say.
So don't ask me to tell,
just let me paint a picture,
So don't ask me to tell,
Just let me show you the way.
Verse:
Ask me what you want to ask me,
lead me where you want to go.
A picture is worth thousand words,
and you can paint it if you try.
