A soulful ballad with a message. Can't explain it well but a good analogy is "when you're having fun, who's keeping score?" Or there will always be a place where we can "stand and sing!" |

Story Behind the Song
This song started on the back of a 54' Chevy panel truck in southern Belize. Emotionally I had painted myself into a corner. I had traveled to Belize with the ideal thought of living in the jungle. It was not as romantic as I thought it would be. with a fever from a cold river swim after spending all day getting my truck unstuck and feeling a bit homesick and isolated I strumed a C cord. The next chance chord hit a place in me and I let out a river of emotion. That's what music can do. Sharing vocals is Terry Jones. Terry is a tremendous song writer and person. Hopefully we will be doing a CD together. Terry thought this song should have been the title song for my first CD. He's right, Love does have such beginings.
Lyrics
Love has such beginnings, there is no need for winning.
Earth & sky & sea-The sea holds you & me.
Guides us through from drying ponds.
Brings us to a setting sun.
Where love has such beginnings,
there is no need for winning.
There's magic in the water,
Hope in the air. Life goes & grows-anywhere.
Guide us through to future shores.
Where stars will shine & we'll endure.
Where love has such beginnings,
There is no need for winning.
