Story Behind the Song
The story for this song goes like this. I had the piano part for about a year (1990 or so), but never came up with a melody or words. I was over at my "then-girlfriend's" house, and she showed me a poem her brother had written for an English class at school. It got an 'A'. I was pretty impressed myself and asked him if I could use the words for a song. I made a few changes, but 99% of the words are untouched.
Lyrics
May I Have Some More Applesauce
(Words : Scott Robertson - Music : Tim Love)
We've been together a year now.
But it seems like so much more.
It seems I've known you all my life,
And we can conquer any storm
I'll never leave you.
How could I even think
Of leaving what I love so much
Thinking of you makes me weak….
I'll love you forever and ever.
I love you, and I will leave you never,
I will leave you never….
We've shared so many good times.
Together hand in hand
And in the midst of bad times,
Together we did stand.
And if you have any doubts
about my love for you.
I'll try my best to let you know
My love for you is true….
I'll love you forever and ever.
I love you, and I will leave you never,
I will leave you never….
I know we can get thru this.
Back to the way we were.
And put this all behind us.
To take away this hurt….
I hope you hear my pleading
I wanna give you all my love
I don't wanna lose you
And I pray to God above.
You're my inspiration.
And everything you do
Makes my life worth living.
I love everything about you….
I'll love you forever and ever.
I love you, and I will leave you never,
I will leave you never….
I'll love you forever and ever.
I love you, and I will leave you never,
I will leave you never….
