Story Behind the Song
My window faces the east. In the morning when in late winter and early spring, the sun is just coming over the horizon. It is so bright and beautiful. I think to myself, "no matter what happens the rest of the day, God gave me this beautiful start, and I should be very happy."
Then a little while later as I am driving to work, I see the morning sun lighting the bottoms of the clouds. I start my day very happy, and that helps give me the strength to make it through the day.
There will always be challenges in life... things to get over, and things to overcome. It is nice to take a few seconds each day to notice the beauty in this world.
The early morning sunrise is one of my favorite happy moments. That is why I wrote this classic style rocker called "Celtic Sun".
Lyrics
Celtic Sun
In the morning as I rise
I wipe the sleep from my eyes
And I think about the day to come
And I wonder if I'll walk or run
The team is at work
And The bills are at home
I turn my head my child has grown
These thoughts and more come every day
And I wonder how I'll make my way
When In the east sky appears a light
It comes from the darkness
And turns into light
Hope on the horizon a new day is done
God give my the light on a new Celtic Sun
High up on a mountain, You'll find me home
I often forget how much I've grown
With the Morning light,
I see beauty all around
And give me hope and happiness
When In the east sky appears a light
It comes from the darkness
And turns into light
Hope on the horizon a new day is done
God give my the light on a new Celtic Sun
