Story Behind the Song
We needed to slow it down a bit, and have some class and style. Much attention was paid to constrained lead licks which were just on the edge of medium crank. It's the Joy of Being who you really want to be.
I was never very good at writing. Brian Meath wrote poetry every day, just for practice. He would give me the ones he didn't want, and I would use them to help me write my lyrics. I would be lost without him.
Then he moved on, and I had to become him. I worked every day on my writing, until I built up my confidence.
I wanted to write a song about the person I had become. I got the name from Milton Bradley and Parker Bros. toys and games.
We all can be whatever we want to be, as long as we trust in the lord, and work hard every day. I wanted to become a song writer so badly, that I would do whatever I had to do to achieve that goal.
This song is a pretty little number that touches people with a lighter taste for rock. Bradley Parker, the man, is me.
