	Story Behind the Song This song was written after my grandfather died. It was the first song I wrote when I started to play piano. I was fooling around with some chord extensions and came up with the basic structure pretty easily. It just seemed to flow. The lyrics were intended to be a farewell to my grandfather but it turned into more of a song about a dieing lover. I originally wrote it in the key of C so I could sing it comfortably but I thought I'd get a female lead. Once I heard her parts I realized it would make a great duet and we added the lower part during the chorus.
