Story Behind the Song
I love the times with family and friends and remembering fun times together. Those are the days that I want to keep close to my heart and never forget. The events remind me of a good book and not wanting it to end or close. If there is one thing in my life that I don’t like doing is saying, “goodbye” because it sounds like “forever”. In closure, I prefer to say “see you later”, “see you round”. It’s funny in away when ending a telephone conversation as people tend to hesitate and wait until I say goodbye. To me this song is signifies an open invitation to all those people I met in my life…..See ya later, see ya round….Mary
Lyrics
Never Say Goodbye - Mary Gottschalk (c) 2001
Verse 1
I can’t remember saying goodbye
Know one knows when we will fly
Packed for a short trip, be back in a while
Confused as departure, I’ll tell you why
I---
Never say good bye
Goodbyes are forever
See you later see you round
No I’ll never say good bye----
Verse 2
Do you remember when you had up the phone
Wondering and waiting but still hanging on
Sounds incomplete and still hanging on
Those who don’t know me, I’ll tell you again
Chorus
I---
Never say good bye
Goodbyes are forever
See you later see you round
No I’ll never say good bye----
Bridge
Camping at Simcoe, friends at school
Missed my reunion, things to do
See you later, I’ll catch up with you
Until I see, the man in the moon
4 Bar Interlude
I can’t see the man in the moon
Chorus
