Story Behind the Song
Originally Eelco's song, the band started jamming and it all sort of gelled. Bas came up with the carribean riff, Marijn added the second verse and Luc does a good harmony on the bridge. It's Eelco singing lead on the first verse and the choruses, aided by Marijn, by the way.
Lyrics
Woman, you've got my heart
Woman, you've got my heart
Ever since I met you I knew it was you
And there could never be another person
To live my live with me
Ever since I met you I knew it was you
And there could never be another person
To fill my heart, oh my heart
Say, woman, you've got my heart
Woman, you've got my heart, oh yeah
But what I wanna tell you now is
When you start me up
When you start me up
When you start me up I won't ever stop
Woman, you've got my soul
Sing baby, yeah yeah, you've got my heart
Ever since I saw you crying on the sidewalk baby
There could never be a question
That it's you I'd console
Doesn't matter to me if my wheels turn into pyramids
A simple glance in your way alwayd gets me to roll
Say, woman, you've got my heart singing
I said woman, yeah yeah, you've got my soul
What I gotta tell you now is, girl
When you start me up
When you start me up
When start me up I won't ever stop
Woman, yeah yeah, you've got my heart
Woman, yeah yeah, you've got my heart
What I wanna tell you now is girl
That when you start me up
When you start me up
When you start me up
I won't ever stop
I won't stop, baby
