A delightful Christmas carol that has been rocking the joint for the last three Christmases in Erdington. With a gaggle of folk artists clamouring to get permission to perform it in their sets, we decided it was about time we cemented our rights to it and included it on the One Word of hope albumn. |

Story Behind the Song
This song grew out of a fascinating little banjo riff that kep going round in my head. Eventually, the riff flourished and the song was first played at Erdington Abbey, Birmingham, UK, in 1999. It wqas greeted with such enthusiasm, both by the assembled congregation and subsequent folk artists, banjo players etc. that we realised the wise policy was to record our own version of it and include it on our 2000 Christmas albumn 'One Word of Hpe'. It is a very uplifting and joyous seasonal number and we hope you like it!
Lyrics
Ch. Let the bells ring out, it's Christmas time;
Let all people shout, it's Christmas time.
Hear the Church bells ring, it's Christmas time;
Our poor hearts we bring, at Christmas time.
Verse 1
We cannot stop, we must not stay;
To meet the Christ we're on our way.
With fear and hope we journey on,
To meet the one for whom we long.
