"IX" is an arial, floaty song meant to inspire.
    CD: Witness

    Story Behind the Song
IX is a numerology reference. It is the last number in the cipher before it repeats. The lyrics are about bringing an end to the evil around us and using the good toward a new beginning. The song is basically about everything coming together.

    Lyrics
    CHORUS:
    The immortal coil
    Life, death, regeneration
One people, one creed, and one nation
We can't see the future without illumination
One people, one creed, and one nation

    The cipher is now complete
    Death without defeat
Starts over where the two ends meet
    Repeat
Death ain't a change in state, just a change in stage
Ninth cycle, end of an age
Because all things fall to rise in new forms
Like there's always a calm right before the storm
    That shatters the earth
And gives way to new birth
    Turns tombs into wombs
    And shows what life's worth
    You reap what you sow
    Usually 3-fold
So I try to take a night alone and lay low
    Contemplation and meditation
    Cuz introspection brings revelation
    Turn inward to find inspiration
    History is the only divination
It all repeats with a little bit of change
But the only thing you have to lose is your chains
The cosmic wheel just spins and keeps spinning
But after each death comes a new beginning
After the moon falls it's a brand new day
Let's strick with the good, push the bad away

    CHORUS

The big climax, last link in the chain
More perfect the pleasure, more perfect the pain
    The death card's been drawn
    Most black before dawn
Victims to victors, weak become strong
End of hate, got a right to live
Can we learn how to tolerate and forgive?
Transform and heal with hearts & minds open
Brotherhood - is all that I'm hopin' - for
Three-sixty by nine, now you know the score
    Now you know the score

    CHORUS x2
