	The words for this song are found on the back of the missals often used throughout America. I first started to pray this prayer as the year 2000 approached. The music evolved in my head as I meditated.II

	Story Behind the Song Part of my experience as a musician, is the sense that I am simply a clay pot in which, from time to time, the Infinite God allows me to be used. The words are not yet traditonal, however, the prayer is powerful. Especially since, in my own family, there has been great pain and separation, I love the call to "reunite our families". I wrote in in several afternoons, and just recorded it (10/11/02) at Susquehanna University with the support and encouragement and equipment of Dr. Patrick Long. One take....mebbe do it again! Lyrics "Gracious God and Father, we are Your people embraced by Your love. We thank You for Your presence with us throughout all of time. As we celebrate the 2000 years since the birth of Jesus, Your Son.... Create us anew. Liberate us from all that keeps us from You. Send Your Holy Spirit enabling us to reacreate our world and restore justice. Heal us from every form of sin and violence. Transform us to live Your Word more profoundly. Reconcile us so enemies become friends. Awaken us to the sacred. Nurture our relationships; enliven our parishes, reunite our families. Fill us with joy to celebrate the fullness of life.
