	Story Behind the Song Back in the 60'/70's runners pounded the streets of New Zealand night and day practising for their "big one". NZ produced many fantastic runners...Peter Snell, John Walker, to name two very well known atheletes. They were great days for New Zealand, these people were our heroes...we'd watch them win time after time at the Olympics continually breaking new records. I wrote this song after pondering how the greatest runner was often someone who worked in an office by day and then did relentless practise day after day early morning or evening. I decided to make my hero of the song a real "cool dude" as a runner but possibly not quite so "up there" in his day job. Only when he ran was he big time.
