Story Behind the Song
It's about my family out west. The "towpath" is the easy way, and all my family have passed up the bridge, taking the hard way through life. The "Big Horn" momma is in reference to the Big Horn mountains in Wyoming.
The proverbial "Avalanche" is the wild life of my family in Wyoming. Fights almost everywhere they go, Demolition Derbies, Rodeos, hunting, you name it. They are awesome people and I love them all.
Lyrics
Towpath bridge has gone by.
Crossed the river and mountains we will climb.
Big Horn momma i'm crawlin' up your side.
Avalanche, man take you for a ride.
Avalanche, man take you for a ride.
Too late, too faced, two cents thrown in.
Buck naked, hungry, and broke, I can't win.
Many long nights I've spent with my favorite kin.
Towpath bridge gone by and I'm divin' in.
Towpath bridge has gone by.
Crossed the river and mountains we will climb.
Big Horn momma i'm crawlin' up your side.
Avalanche, man take you for a ride.
Avalanche, man take you for a ride.
Eyes closed and I take in the air.
Arms wide while the wind blows through my hair.
Just for this moment, I havn't a care.
Feel so free I'm walking on air.
Towpath bridge has gone by.
Crossed the river and mountains we will climb.
Big Horn momma i'm crawlin' up your side.
Avalanche, man take you for a ride.
Avalanche, man take you for a ride.
Avalanche t-t-t-t-take you for a ride x3
Avalanche man i'll take you for a ride.
