	Story Behind the Song Long known for his collaborations between rock bands and symphony orchestras, composer conductor Robert Ian Winstin initiated a recording and performance project with the VIRGINIA YOUTH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA and nationally known rock bands. Starting with a summer 2002 kick-off concert on the beach, the VYSO hosted three rock bands; TOAST, SEA OF SOULS & COUNTERFEIT MOLLY. This recording, with TOAST, is the beginning of the recording aspect of that project. Composer & Conductor Robert Ian Winstin created the orchestral scores to the TOAST song "Friend" through a collaborative process with the band.
