	Story Behind the Song What it was like to record this piece... It was very difficult. Deciding whether to employ the "thumb under" technique for the fast runs or to play with guitar right hand posture became a bit of an issue. Recommended recordings of this piece: "Portrait" by Paul O'Dette, released by Harmonica Mundi Lyrics I recommend doing a google search on Sir Robert, Earl Of Essex. He was quite an interesting fellow, and I'm sure, gave Dowland plenty of inspiration to compose and dedicate this Galliard to him.
