Story Behind the Song
a while ago, a friend of mine came up with the idea that if each person who performed at teh Teasers tea house was to submit a track, we could have an entire compilation, denoting the amazing scene that was taking place there. While the project is currently under hiatus, it did give us a chance to help my friend re-assemble his shabby little basement studio. This song is the once thing that makes me most proud of where I am musically.
The song is about, well it's about a number of things. Primarily, it's about being placed in a situation where there you're left with only a handfull of options and the lines between right and wrong are slightly blurred. no matter what choice you make, it can be deemed morally wrong by either this group or that.¬
Lyrics
Smile another smile, you silver child
let them all assume you've run away
Hold your head up high, give sight to the blind
watch the fences come down on your face
I see your pain
I see your pain
never let anyone say you took the easy way
run ahead again, you're still the best
let them all believe you've changed your ways
find a place to hide, the creatures wave their sings
before teh masses come crashing down on your face
I see your shame
I see your shame
never let anyone say you took the easy way
give em time and they'll find another martyr for theyr fight
silver child, all you did was try to do what is right
let it slide, there is noo need to fight
silver child, there is no need to fight
them off, there's no need to fight
