"Amaranth: Spirit of the Dreamsong" | genre: Celtic | |

It's a kind of celtic/ethnic sounding song, that I wrote as the theme song to a freeform RPG my friend and I are creating. It's about the sacred energy of the Dreamsong, which is essentially the spirit of Life itself. Only it takes the form of a beautiful melody. In this song, the singer is offering herself to the Dreamsong in order to gain spiritual enlightement, or something... |

Story Behind the Song
The song came to me, surprisingly enough, in a piano lesson ^__^
After coming up with the piano melody at the beginning, I just thought, wouldn't this sound gorgeous as a full song? And I spent the entire of the following week obsessively writing it! The final mixing session actually took me over 8 hours x.x
A few of the lyrics are actually in Quenya (Tolkien's language of the high elves.) The translation (I hope...) is:
"The flowing Dreamsong, everlasting like the sky."
Lyrics
Silver stream of melody
Rising power inside of me
Time flowed like a dream
Over me.
My heart trembled at the sound
Filled with longing so profound
Deeper than the sky
Over me.
Lorelindė uulea
Ve fanyare vorima.
Shining paths of harmony
Call me to my destiny
Pure spirit of life
Sing with me.
Veils of starlight touch my soul
A healing song to make me whole
Fate answer my prayer
As I open my eyes to the light
As I open my heart to the Dreamsong.
Dreamsong lull me
Dreamsong fill me
Dreamsong breathe in me
Dreamsong live in me
Lorelindė uulea
Ve fayare vorima.
