	Story Behind the Song The song was written back to back with Confusion. It started life as a slow, mournful dirge with slide solos, and was reworked into a more pop-jazz oriented melody in 1998. Lyrics As I wander through the lonely crowds I discover they have no pity and I celebrate the day with melancholy sound since I know they cannot hear me. There's an itch in my soul and I feel alone but the world spins on above me. My burning desire is just to be needed. I have the lock but I can't find the key. (Chorus) The world still spins and the priest still sins. We're heading for the waterfall. There's a sign in the air like the tab of a pin. Will you never reach the door?
