This song is not on our CD. This was written by our project coordinator back in '89 while he was 'Thinking About Bob' and listening to Bob Dylan's FAREWELL ANGELINA. Dylan's lyrics are quite abstact so Steve started writing lyrics of his own to fit the mood of Dylan's song. The song has gone through numerous changes through the years.

    Lyrics
Hey, hey sweet love and best friend of mine
Whoever thought that we two would come to such a time?
Time to call it quits, and time to call it a day
Time to go each of us to our own separate way

And I know that you know I loved you more than anyone
But now no one can undo what it is that you've done

We both thought the West coast was the place to be free
So there we romped in the sun for the whole world to see
Things soon fell apart and the four became three
Someone asked whose fault it was and you said, "I blame me"

And I know that you know I loved you more than anyone
But now no one can undo what it is that you've done

You say you made errors and that I've made mine
But I can't help but wonder if we're victims of time
Everything's changed though the same music still plays
But it all sounds so different from those 'good ole days'

And I know that you know I loved you more than anyone
But now no one can undo what it is that you've done

Won't you tell me please was I expecting too much
When I was counting on you to just keep in touch?
I felt cornered when you left me nowhere to turn
And by you I feel that I have been burned

And I know that you know I loved you more than anyone
But now no one can undo what it is that you've done

I was confused. I didn't know what to do
I didn't want to believe anyone except you
But you thought that I thought that you had lied
You've made your mind up and I can't turn the tide

And I know that you know I loved you more than anyone
But now no one can undo what it is that you've done

I wish you no harm but I wish you success
I even hope that by God you are blessed
But I don't need the stress or the anxiety
Someone has to do it so I'll just look out for me

And I know that you know I loved you more than anyone
But now no one can undo what it is that you've done

Maybe no one was right and no one was wrong
Our differences surfaced but they were there all along
So how is it best friends could turn into such fools?
It must be a lesson learned in life's school

And I know that you know I loved you more than anyone
But now no one can undo what it is that you've done

I search through my heart and I search through my soul
The memories I'll hold dear until I grow old
I know that nothing can ever be like it was
We both know the reason. It is "just because"

And I know that you know I loved you more than anyone
But now no one can undo what it is that you've done

Do you want to make amends and do what is fair?
Do you want forgiveness? Do you really care?
If your answer to these questions is, "Yes I sure do"
Prove it and maybe things will go well for you

But I know that you know I loved you more than anyone
And now no one can undo what it is that you've done

I think you're really glad to be rid of me
I 'spose it's for the best and I hope you're happy
Just don't forget that you're still in my debt
And whatever you sow is what you will get

And I know that you know I loved you more than anyone
But now no one can undo what it is that you've done

Hey hey former sweet love and former best friend
Whoever thought the two of us would come to this end
The memories will haunt me forever that's true
That's the price I pay for having ever loved you

And I know that you know I loved you more than anyone
And there's no one who could ever undo what you've done
