	Story Behind the Song A highly melodic serenade that, I hope, captures both the exhilaration and serenity one gets from looking across a valley at a Blue Ridge mountain range that seems to endlessly rise up from sharply seen closer mountains to higher peaks that sometimes fade gracefully into the sky in shifting lights on different days. It was written in four sections that divide nicely into 1-2 and 3-4. Section 1 has qualities of a sonata form; section 2 is a scherzo; section three a simple slow anthem and section 4 a lively rondo that brings back the initial theme. This is a revised and re-recorded version made in September 2002.
