	Story Behind the Song There was a conference on the subject of "Smart Growth" on Maui. It is a popular subject, but everyone has a different take on what it is. Thought it would be fun to write a song about it. Lyrics Some say "Smart Growth is what you can get away with" Others say "Let's go back to a better day" I say, "Smart Growth is just like a man, You find the right size, then work on being wise". Sprawl is spreading all over the county Sprawl is spreading all over the land Sprawl is erroding our sense of compassion It's time to rise up and lend a hand Is it balanced to use up the water? Don't gated communites promote fear and hate?
