Where's Andy Warhol when all is in vain? ..."Love the Ryders. They have so much integrity and spirit in their music. This one about Andy Warhol is great. I could imagine hearing this coming over my transitor radio in the 60's. A little bit of Lou Reed in this baby but really all their own. Awesome stuff." --Joe Mystery ..."Deja vu sound, 70's trip, this coulda been a Roxy Music, Mott The Hoople kinda thang-- the 'Saturday Night Live' horn blats were just perfect. i am sick that we missed this when it posted. we request spam when you post!" Digital Critters "Great great song here! The vocal duo is superb... the male voice has never been so near from the Leonard Cohen's voice... While listening to it, I truly wondered if it was him ... The sax is awesome too! Viva Dark Ryders!" Paduc from Geneva, Switzerland |

Story Behind the Song
117 Sandusky Street is the address of the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, PA, and this song was inspired by a visit there. The lyrics touch on the emotional distance between people, a subject which Warhol explored in an artistic and philosophical manner all his life. The barroom-type singalong final chorus by the Haunted Junkyard Choir contrasts the tension of the duet, featuring Morgana "Here's my 15 minutes of fame" Wilcox. Brandon Masterman sits in with some fine sax work before leaving out with a national tour of "Grease", worth catching just to listen to him wail. A track that came about as the result of a number of unplanned circumstances and casual hanging out, it ended up being a lot of fun. Thanks for giving it an ear or two... and visit www.warhol.org for more on this influential American artist.
Lyrics
117 Sandusky Street (One More)
Hot colors are running through your hair
This is the season to take the fall
But when you're with me
You're not really there
And there's no reason, no reason at all
But there's one thing to remember
Don't toy with emotion
There's just one thing to remember
She's one in a million
Look on the surface, it's so very plain
This is the season to take the fall
Where's Andy Warhol when all is in vain
And there's no reason, no reason at all?
But there's one thing to remember
Don't toy with emotion
There's just one thing to remember
She's one in a million
One more
To forget
See her reflection linger like a whisper
Long after memories are past and gone
No distant promise will wait until
You've missed her, to make you
Lie awake and wonder
All night long
All night long...
Hot colors are running through your hair
This is the season to take the fall
But when you're with me
You're not really there
And there's no reason, no reason at all
But there's one thing to remember
Don't toy with emotion
There's just one thing to remember
She's one in a million
One more
To forget
One more
To forget...
