Story Behind the Song
Inspired by the film "Network" starring Peter Finch who is a newscaster who one day has a nervous breakdown. He tells the people he does not know what to do about all the crimes, oil crisis, homicides etc. Quote:
"All I know is you've got to get mad. I want you to go to the window, open it, and shout 'I'm as mad as hell and I'm not going to take this any more'".
