Story Behind the Song
This song is about a girl I was in love with, but I felt I didn't have a chance, but I gave it a shot anyways...needless to say, at the time of this writing, I'm STILL single! UGH!
Lyrics
Saturday, I think I'll call you just to
hear you say you're not alone,
and I can't figure out how I can
learn so much from dead air.
I thought of you; Another side-effect of
Deja Vu. I think it's what keeps me
awake at night, and I know this can't be fair.
I wish you could read my mind,
And save me all these butterflies.
I'll grab my coat, and be on my way, tonight,
And not worry about this Saturday.
I lost my ring. Maybe to you it doesn't
mean a thing...
Still, I wish I took a chance and offered
you my golden ring.
Saturday, I think I'll call you just to
hear you say you're not at home,
and I can't figure out how to
hang up before the beep.
I'm sure I'll make the same mistakes, again.
If that is what you truly want to call them.
