	Story Behind the Song Enemy of Our State is a song about my account of the emotions and thoughts that I felt on 9/11. The anger of 9/11 was tearing me apart. Instead of harming myself with my anger, or anyone else for that matter, I took my rage and created 'Enemy of Our State'. I live less than 5 miles from the Pentagon and watched all the chaos live, the police, the emergency crews, the injured. Even to this day I pass by the HUM-Vs with their automatic weapons pointed at the traffic. We live in a changed world and this song is a culmination of emotion and strength in the trying times that we live in. This song has been created for all of those who love freedom, and who suffered along with the victims of 9/11. Lyrics Enemy of Our State Remember the day that was hard on our eyes. When innocent people got attacked from the sky. The city thirst comfort amidst the grief, as we watched the TV screens in disbelief. During those minutes seemed like years went by As tears kept streaming from our wide open eyes. Screams of silence could be heard all around as two more planes slammed into the ground. The scene down the street was a chaotic mess, the victims of the Pentagon lay in distress. Every five minutes the police sped by. The Pentagon burned, smoke rose to the sky. Our enemy unknown to us at this point in time. Retaliation ran through almost everyones mind. Kill off our enemies, TV screens to watch them bleed. As the smoke cleared devastation lay. Our entire nation stood still for a day. Those that could gave a helping hand while the heroes emerged throughout this great land. We the people became galvanized as we all stood together with our differences aside. The help of each other comforted the pain. The strength of our people will always remain. We are a Nation of Unity, Shining bright for the world to see. I know its either this or the army now. I like saving lives, I dont like taking them, but after what I saw, if my country sends me, to go kill, I will do it know.
