    Story Behind the Song
I wrote this song about the area where I grew up in Pennsylvania. It was great because it wasn't too counrty and it wasn't very urban either. The more I go back to visit, the more I see strip malls, shopping centers, and parking lots springing up all over the places I used to play as a child. It made me sad to know that I wouldn't be able to show my kids where I played as a kid because somebody just HAD to have another frozen yogurt shop/taekwondo school/dry cleaner strip mall in their little neighborhood.

    Lyrics
Used to be a place to plpay after school
But time doesn't always play by the rules
It slips away and it begins to crack
And pretty soon there's no looking back

    At that old stone wall
Man, we used to have ourselves a ball
    At the old stone wall

    I remember playing off-the-wall
Riding my bike and taking a fall
    Yeah, but I didn't care
    'Cuz I was havin' fun
Yeah, with me and the gang and everyone

    At that old stone wall
Man, we used to have ourselves a ball
    At the old stone wall

Waiting for the bus in the morning
    Playing in the afternoon
How could we know that it could end so fast?
How could we know that we would grow up so soon?

Used to be a place to plpay after school
But time doesn't always play by the rules
It slips away and it begins to crack
And pretty soon there's no looking back

    At that old stone wall
Man, we used to have ourselves a ball
    At the old stone wall
