Story Behind the Song
Original comments dump:
Title : Amber Skies
Time : 7:20
Tracker: Hollis Potter "Drazen"
Started 3/7/01 at about 10am, completed 3/15/01 at 11:00pm
First Movement : 0:00-1:51 Amber Skies
Second Movement: 1:51-4:40 Casual Savagery
Third Movement : 4:40-7:20 Into The Horizon
Description:
A monumental flight through the uncharted atmospheres of untold worlds.
The three movements tell the tale of and adventure of sorts, coming to a
spectacular climax and reducing with a humbled closure.
Beautiful, absolutely beautiful.
Notes:
A week in the making, I've spent every spare moment either thinking of or
working on this piece. I am extremely proud of it, having next expected it
to turn out as well as it did. I'd like to thank Brian Rogers for his
suggestion to replace the violins in the first movement with pianos, that
seemed to brighten the mood of it a bit. As for the song's existence
itself, for that I'd like to thank Russel Wood for giving such high praise
of the original song (a much reduced version of the first movement).
I have enjoyed writing this piece very much, and hope you have as well
enjoyed listening.
