The celestial laws of the natural world do not apply to this beat sequence. A hardesertrance track that fully encompasses the mind with a percussive background and a syncopated melody that breathlessly tears at the soul of the angel within. | MP3.com CD: Stasis - buy it!

Story Behind the Song
The motivation behind the song was a hardesertrance LP that would be good for DJ's to mix as well as a jamming tune to listen to on the couch in the living room. The tune is a grand melody that was constructed on Hex's piano basics. Hex then ignored the melody and created the rhythmic beats. The beats were equally as important as the melody. They were the basis for the hardesertrance sound that Hex so eagerly invisioned. The melody was transcribed into a virtual synth that was capable of producing a sinusoidal wave with a strong melodic 5th simultaneously. The sound patch was tweaked and then implemented with smooth synth slide that created the epic goa trance sound Hex so desired. The piano was played live in Hex's studio and a few sounds were sampled from his analog equipment including the Roland Alpha Juno. The vocals were created by Hex as the finishing touches to the song, which developed the theme and storyline behind the melody which Hex sought. In total, the amount of time spent on this song definitely shows in its fine tuned detailed construction. Hex is so proud of his baby! Break da bonds, ionic style!
Lyrics
Breaking the ionic bonds is a way of living life to the fullest degree.
Breaking the ionic bonds is a way to the future, to see and believe for yourself.
Breaking the bonds is a way to create, form, and shape the mind, body, and soul of the chemical spirit.
Give each ionic bond certain respects,
but if you are to break 'em,
expect adverse effects.
